I hired Lauren of LK Events to help plan my September wedding at the Chicago History Museum and it was hands-down the best decision I made.  At my initial meeting with Lauren to discuss her company's services, it quickly became clear that she is passionate about her work and is committed to creating incredible events for each of her clients.  I knew immediately that if Lauren conducted her business in the same manner she carried herself, I had discovered a true professional.  In the end, she exceeded all expectations.  Her experience within the wedding industry paired with her ability to translate a bride's vision into a spectacular event defined her as one of the finest event planners in Chicago.  For my wedding, Lauren exhibited a talent for combining classic touches of tradition with accents of modern sophistication, to create an event more extraordinary than I could have ever imagined, let alone create myself.  After identifying our budget and the priority of each aspect of my wedding day, Lauren guided me through the vendor selection, only introducing my husband and I to potential vendors who were aligned with those priorities.  When the Big Day finally rolled around, Lauren and her assistant demonstrated undaunted professionalism in the face of 125 plus out of town guests, a half a dozen vendors and several special requests from the members of the bridal party and family.  Her unparalleled expertize allowed me to enjoy a stress-free day (other than nerves, of course) creating memories with guests as each component of my wedding was executed flawlessly.  The best decision made and smartest money spent on our wedding was hiring Lauren of LK Events.  We cannot show her enough gratitude.

I could not be happier to have hired Lauren from LK Events to be my wedding coordinator.  At the beginning of the planning process, I was unsure whether hiring such a person was a necessary expense.  Having just got married, I can say with confidence that hiring Lauren is the single best decision I made to allow myself to enjoy the weeks leading up to my wedding day, as well as my wedding itself.  She did an excellent job.  I had complete confidence in her to run the event.  Her attention to detail was remarkable and she made my husband and I feel that we had her complete focus and attention.  Additionally, Lauren was very present in the weeks leading up to the wedding, helping me make final decisions, providing her expertise and simplifying what was an extremely hectic time. Hiring Lauren to help with out June 2010 wedding was by far the best decision that we made throughout the entire planning process.  Her expertise, knowledge and calm/take charge demeanor helped to ensure a smooth and wonderful wedding day.  She took care of everything so that we did not even have to think about it before and during the wedding day.  From the lead up with her planning, detail orientation and management of the schedules, we had zero anxiety about how the day would turn out.  I cannot speak highly enough for Lauren's work and I am so grateful that we had her with us!  She is also a ball to work with - keeping things lighthearted when the wedding planning stress kicked in.  I highly recommend Lauren and LK Events to any and all upcoming Chicago brides - she is simply wonderful!

Lauren is the best wedding planner any bride could ask for.  Being in California during my 15 months of planning, I was stressed, overwhelmed and lost until I hired Lauren.  She made everything easy for my family and had an extensive knowledge of every different vendor you could imagine.  She was professional, prompt and didn't let anything slip through the cracks.  Lauren's attention to detail was impeccable and I would recommend her to any bride and groom looking for an amazing planner.

I would highly recommend Lauren as a wedding coordinator.  She is extremely professional, a very warm and kind individual who absolutely loves what she does.  You know how excited Lauren is about the wedding planning process because it shows in her work and personality.  It really isn't all about the bottom line but rather about the dream of your day and how to make it a reality.  Lauren comes very highly recommended by both vendors and clients alike. We were so impressed after our first meeting with her because of the way she made us feel.  It was like our needs were her top priority.  She is calm and organized on the day, staying behind the scenes but always there to manage as needed.  She put together the most detailed time line for our wedding weekend and worked with every vendor to ensure a perfect event.  I don't know how I would have managed all of these decisions and choices without a professional like Lauren.

Lauren helped me coordinate my wedding six months ago at the Drake Hotel in Chicago and I could not have asked for a more perfect day!  She is down to earth, extremely attentive to individual wants/needs and went above and beyond my expectations of her.  In addition, I must say she has excellent taste and suggestions but at that same time, would never try and force anything upon you.  I ended up finding out she had another wedding the very next day and I would have never guessed, as I felt like I was her one and only :)  Hire Lauren if you only want a Day of Coordinator (trust me, you will need it!) or hire her to do the whole nine yards.  Either way, it will be perfect and you won't have to worry about a thing.

Kevin and I were so fortunate to have Lauren as our "Day Of" Coordinator.  From the moment we met Lauren, we felt confident.  I knew I was going to be obsessed with the details of our day, like most brides, and therefore was concerned about handing off the wedding details to someone else.  From the moment we met Lauren, we felt instantly comfortable that she and her team would best manage the details of the day and therefore allow me and my fiance to enjoy the party.  That is exactly what happened.  Lauren is a warm, helpful, efficient and generous person who made my family, our wedding party, and the two of us feel calm and collected all day.  Lauren was accessible from the day we decided to secure her as our coordinator.  The day of the wedding, she ensured everything ran smoothly and honestly, I couldn't imagine having such an amazing day and weekend without her help.  We would definitely recommend Lauren to all other engaged couples!!

I highly recommend hiring LK Events to help plan or coordinate all of the details of your wedding day.  In all honestly, my husband and I were originally skeptical about hiring a wedding coordinator. We had spent months planning all of the details of our wedding and we really thought that we could handle it all ourselves. However, some of our close friends and family members recommended that we look into hiring someone to help with coordinating the day of wedding so that we could relax on the big day.  I am so glad that I called LK Events! From the moment I spoke to Lauren, she made me feel really comfortable and I knew she was the right match!

Lauren is an absolute dream to work with. She is very friendly, reliable, detail-oriented and extremely organized...the perfect combination of qualities for a wedding coordinator. Not only did she create a timeline to help keep our day organized, but she also helped us with some of the remaining details that we hadn't finished, like picking out linens, etc. She really made us feel as though we were her only clients...we met a few times to discuss the details of the day and she also returned emails and phone calls promptly.Having worked in the catering business herself for 4-5 years and having worked at countless weddings, Lauren was able to offer lots of advice on things like decorating, vendor pricing, and etiquette.

The weekend of the wedding itself, she and her assistant coordinated with all of the vendors to make sure everyone set up properly and arrived on time, oversaw the wedding rehearsal at the church, and generally made sure that everything ran smoothly on the day of the wedding. I know this sounds silly, but I distinctly remember needing a pair of scissors to cut a tag out of my dress and "poof!" there was Lauren handing me a pair. She thought of everything! She even went above and beyond the call of duty by helping the groomsman orchestrate a surprise for my husband and I at the reception, unbeknownst to us.

At the end of the night, LK Events made sure all the loose ends were tied up (top of cake saved, etc.) and made sure all of our belongings made it back to our hotel. The bottom line is that my husband and I could just ENJOY our wedding day without worrying about a thing. Hiring LK Events was the best decision we could have made! Again, I highly recommend giving her a call, even if you aren't sure if you really need a coordinator. You won't regret it.

Without a doubt, hiring LK Events for our wedding was the best decision my husband and I made!  The moment we met Lauren, we knew we had found our "Day Of" wedding coordinator.  She immediately made us feel as if she had known us forever and completely understood our vision of our wedding.  Lauren made those crazy few weeks that led up to the wedding flow flawlessly.  She coordinated everything with all of our vendors to ensure we were all on the same page for our big day!  Lauren's attention to detail, professional attitude and overall enthusiasm for helping others celebrate the big moments in life allowed my husband and I to fully enjoy our wedding day without a care in the world! Lauren and her staff are truly top notch.  From her many years of experience to her charismatic personality and charm, my wedding was the ultimate day and Lauren had so much to do with the feel of the event, my happiness and most importantly, my parents were absolutely thrilled and smiling from ear to ear.  When I look back on that day, that went by in such a blur - Lauren and LK Events had everything covered.  I literally did not have to lift a finger and she did everything with a smile on her face.  She went above and beyond for anyone who needed anything but blended in without being obvious.  She is a gem so grab her while you can, she books up fast!

Lauren created a magical day for all of us.  She went above and beyond our wildest expectations.  She traveled from Chicago to Naples, Florida to put on an enchanted wedding reception on the beach.  Lauren is caring, classy, creative and so talented...and it shows in her work.  Words cannot express the gratitude my husband and I have for her and her dedication to perfection.  Not one detail was overlooked and our families and the rest of our guests had the best night ever!  From the invitations, to the ceremony and the cake...nothing was overlooked.  The wedding was truly everything we hoped and dreamed it would be.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I can not say enough good things about LK Events!  We were not planning on having a Wedding Coordinator but as the day got closer, we realized we needed some assistance with ALL the details.  From the moment I met Lauren I knew we made the right decision.  She is so organized and handled every detail for our wedding with such ease.  I could go on forever about everything she did for us; instead I'll just highlight some of the ones that made my life so much easier leading up to the wedding.  She contacted all of our vendors and coordinated their arrival on the day of and made sure they were all set with everything.  She put together a very detailed time line for our entire wedding weekend.  All we had to do was send it out to our family and friends.  She brought everything I needed the day of the wedding over to our venue and at the end of the night, everything I had left behind (including my dress because I had changed) was in our hotel room.  We had the most amazing wedding and I am sure it would have not been possible without the help of LK Events!

Working with Lauren for our wedding was truly a joy and a pleasure. Lauren has the perfect personality for an event planner: funny and enthusiastic, yet perfectly professional; artistic and creative, yet always considering her clients' style; ridiculously organized, yet calm and poised.

Lauren really brought together our entire vision, and she made sure everything was perfect. I did not have to worry about anything on our wedding day, and it was truly the best day of our lives. From the plate of hors d'oeuvre and champagne set in the bridal room for us to take a breather when we arrived at the reception, to handling the vendors and the time line, to making sure we got to taste all three flavors of the cake, Lauren made sure no detail was overlooked. In the midst of planning our wedding, we began to realize how overwhelming the decisions and tasks had become. Who are the good photographers? What fabric of linens should we choose? How do we coordinate transportation? We had so many questions. We were incredibly fortunate to have Lauren help. From scheduling appointments and searching for the perfect Chicago venue to making sure the cupcakes and flowers arrived on time, Lauren made everything happen! At the last minute we had to move the ceremony inside due to threatening clouds. The transition was so smooth and well executed that my guests had no idea two hundred chairs were swiftly repositioned. Most importantly she reassured me everything would be perfect.

Lauren has extraordinary taste. Her creative ideas blend modern sophistication with refined tradition. She was dedicated to capturing the essence of my personality while being mindful of our budget. Her attention to detail and meticulous organization allowed me to relax and enjoy my engagement and wedding day. Menus were aligned on every plate, hors d’oeuvre and champagne were delivered to the bride’s suite, our grandparents arrived without worry, and my bustle was always elegantly gathered. Every touch was thoughtful and precise. Every idea was beautifully conveyed. I truly remember the perfect wedding day. My husband and I cannot thank Lauren enough!

As the day-of coordinator for my wedding, Lauren proved to be the answer to my prayers!!! I had been nearly single-handedly planning the many details of my upcoming nuptials for over a year, and at the last minute, just weeks before the big day, I decided that I wanted someone to assist me on the day of the wedding to help alleviate my stress. Lauren did this and so much more!!!

Upon first meeting her during our initial consultation, I just knew that Lauren was the right fit for what I was looking for. I had interviewed quite a few other day-of coordinators, but none were able to put me immediately at ease in the way that Lauren did. She was very professional, attentive and organized, while also being extremely personable and comforting.

Overall, Lauren’s services went well beyond my expectations, especially considering her very reasonable rate. Aside from supporting me during the walk-thru at the wedding venue, and coordinating the wedding party rehearsal at the dinner the evening before, Lauren made herself available for anything else I needed in the weeks leading up to the wedding. Throughout the process, I had complete confidence that she had everything under control and had a great understanding of my vision for the wedding.

On the day of the wedding, Lauren was the saving grace that pulled all of the many elements together. Every piece of the puzzle was where it needed to be, and everything looked beautiful! When unexpected “surprises” arose, she took care of them with ease, and allowed me to enjoy my wedding without worry or stress.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Lauren! She was the best investment we made for our wedding!

We were naïve to think we didn’t need an extra set of hands the day of the wedding. By way of a few related decisions, Lauren ended up that partner. From the first cup of Starbucks to the moment she sent me the down the aisle, the day was in good hands. And that’s a lot to say from a couple that did not look forward to planning the day like we assume most would have.

Lauren has a genuine presence of grace and calm. She often reminded us that anything is possible and it will all be OK! Not one detail got overlooked; all was timely and executed to perfection. We were a very laid back bride and groom and often took for granted that some things would figure themselves out overtime. With Lauren at our side, everything got figured out. Not an ounce of stress in the air. The pinnacle was the glass of champagne offered to me before I walked down the aisle.

In the end, we are convinced we would not have had the same experience without Lauren there. We have referred her since our wedding with pride.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!  What can I say!  You were absolutely wonderful on Saturday, and there is no way I can thank you enough for all you did to make Sarah's day so special.  Everything flowed so well and I could tell that Sarah didn't have a worry in the world!  You made it possible for her to enjoy her day without worrying about all the details.  I will never be able to express how important that was to me.  

Everything looked perfect!  The flowers, candles, place settings....it was everything Sarah had envisioned it would be.  She was so glad that you were going to be there to make sure the room was just as she wanted it to be.  What an absolute professional you are, and I know your new business venture will be a complete success!  I think I was the only one who really knew you were there and doing such a fabulous job, and that's the sign of someone who really knows what they are doing.  You were there, but never obvious. I can’t say enough about working with Lauren.  She was amazing!! Upon our initial meeting, she remembered every detail I had described to her over the phone.  She was organized, extremely detail oriented, and very informed about the wedding planning process.  She approached planning with a genuine interest, as though she were a partner or friend, not a separate vendor.  Lauren really helped me prepare above and beyond what was necessary (including picking up our cake the day of the wedding!) We met Lauren when we were planning my daughter's wedding in Chicago. She was cheerful, professional and knowledgeable from the start, impressing us immediately as someone with whom we could work well and comfortably.

Throughout the planning process she guided us with apparent delight, good humor and skill. Her connections helped us find an excellent florist as well as sound and light technicians and her expertise helped us provide a delicious buffet menu, accommodating vegetarians, omnivores and celiacs alike. She was impressively efficient and cooperative in the way she worked with the other members of our team and could handle all the curve balls thrown her way, even at the last minute.
